Mrs. Hawa M. Barry is a seasoned financial accountant and auditor with over nine years of experience across various financial domains. Currently pursuing Chartered Accountant (CA) training with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and the Liberia Institute of Certified Public Accountants (LICPA); she holds an MBA in Accounting from Cuttington University, a BBA (Suma Cum Laude) from Stella Maris Polytechnic University, and an Associates of Arts (Suma Cum Laude) in accounting from Stella Maris Polytechnic University.
As the General Manager of Capital Matrix Solutions Group since April 2023, Mrs. Barry directs Microfinance, Real Estate, Investment, and Consultancy arms, implementing strategies and evaluating organizational success. Previously, as Senior Audit and Tax Accountant at BICON, INC. (August 2017 – March 2023), she led engagements, managed staff, and contributed to administrative duties.
Mrs. Barry’s tenure at BICON (August 2015 – July 2017) saw her role as an Audit and Tax Accountant, where she actively participated in diverse tasks, staff training, and report development. Her career began as an Intern Junior Accountant at Consolidated Group (January 2015 – July 2015), where she handled cash payments and document processes.
In her early career as a Filling Clerk at Stella Maris Polytechnic (July – August 2013), Mrs. Barry contributed to document management and performed assigned tasks. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through certifications, including Forensic Accounting CPD Training (ICAG, 2022) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards CPD Training (LICPA, 2016).
